A federal judge in Phoenix on Wednesday blocked key provisions of Arizona's controversial immigration law from taking effect as scheduled Thursday, granting in part an injunction requested by the Obama administration.
U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton ruled that the injunction would apply to the portion of the state law that requires police to try to determine the immigration status of a person they arrest, stop or detain while enforcing other laws if they reasonably suspect the person is in the United States illegally.
In a lawsuit filed against Arizona, the Obama administration said the law was unconstitutional and warned that the provision would result in racial profiling and harassment of U.S. citizens, legal immigrants and foreign visitors.
Bolton said in her ruling that it was "not in the public interest" for Arizona to enforce a provision that preempts federal enforcement of immigration law.

My LCA for H1B extn for 6 years is approved on July 15. But still my company lawyer is not ready to file the extn. He keeps on saying that I didn't get the approval notice from DOL, It's certified online only, So without physical approval document, I cannot proceed.
Guys, Since it's certified already, Can he get a LCA detail and print using his account from iCert?
I also checked the online status in iCert (he gave me the case No), the status says certified.
So in this How long DOL took to send the physical copy of LCA?
Since my H1B is expiring October, I need to file extn ASAP. My company lawyer is not helpful ...

H1B, Perm/I140 are all employer driven. You are a mere spectator in this whole process.

At lease H1B should qualify for Stimulus amount if not H4
H1B has valid SSN and should qualify for Stimulus amount even if they are filing the taxes as married filing jointly with spouse having H4.

There is no need to withdraw your 485. But why do you need 2 485's. It just shuts out visas for others. You can continue on H1b with your current employer and join in EAD with the other.

President Obama promised during the election campaign that Immigration reform will be high on his list once elected president. Speaking to Hispanic reporters at the White House, Obama said last week he hopes a bill for comprehensive immigration reform will be drafted by the end of this year.
Obama tapped Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano on June 25 to work with Congress to speed up immigration reform as senators warned another failed effort could doom chances for a generation. Obama said he asked Napolitano to meet regularly with lawmakers to systematically work through a number of controversial issues, such as how to handle the 12 million illegal immigrants already in the United States and how to prevent future illegal immigration.
The president has been criticized for not following through on a campaign pledge to tackle the issue this year. He has urged the Democratic-controlled Congress to start pushing now to pass legislation.

yeah the design is good,but mate, in my opinion we should upload orignal illustrations!

yeah u probably didn't coppy it, i'm sure u put some effort on at least coloring it, but still it's absolutely the same pirate!
It's one thing to take an idea and develope it, other is just coppy it!!
I'm posting this because i dont think is very fair for me and the other contestants who put more effort on creating a unique t-shirt.
I'm sure u have a crazy imagination, like most f the designers, and u can come up with something really interestings!

This is my situation
I am from Pakistan and I do have Canadian PR also. I applied I-824 on August 5, 2008 and it got approved very fast on January 16, 2008 IN just 5 and half months and I have written that I want to process my case in Toronto Canada not from Pakistan now I have the following question
1-on approval notice the petitioner name and the beneficiary name is the same don�t u guys thing the beneficiary name should be my wife name
2-DO all FTJ cases are processed through NVC. Or only some of them... because Islambad embassy accept cases from NVC only they told me that I-824 has to be approved and then UCIS will send your case to NVC and then case will be sent to islamabad but is this the same procedure for canada because I-824 approval notice says that they have notified tornto consulate that I am the permenant resident thats all. I 824 do not have even my wife name?? Can any body tell me clearly that does every body who files I-824 has to go through NVC or in case of Canada we can go to consulate and start the case?
3-If NVC is involved in my case then how long file will stay at NVC and how long the consulate in Toronto will take to complete the process.
I am totally confused a lot of lawyers do not even know that NVC is involved in FTJ cases. These lawyers still say that you can go too directly to start the case I know In Pakistan they accept the cases only through NVC. Even they don�t open case with approved I-824? What about in Canada? I got my Finger Printing notice today and I was comparing it with the 485 receipt. The 485 receipt had A# as A9xxxxxxx ( A with 8 digits) as the receipt number while the FP notice had A09xxxxxxx as the number.
The FP notice has a "0" after the "A" and the 485 notice does not have that 0. All the digits are the same but for the 0. Any one has it similar. do i need to worry abt it? any suggestions? You think i need to get it corrected?

Folks please advise on using POJ method. I tried calling using the instructions below however I always get to customer service instead of NSC where I intend to connect. Am I missing something here ?

Is the postal address same for EAD & AP renewal for e-Filers.
The forms that printed out for EAD & AP renewal for e-Filers shows same address to send the supporting documents.
And only EAD needs the 2 photos right not the AP for e-Filers.

if you have copy of I-140 , it contains 13 digit receipt number (SRC, WAC etc..).
Enter the number in USCIS case status to find out the latest update on the I-140 file @ https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do
