My employer got an RFE in regards my recent filing of H1b.
The RFE talks about the office space.
Currently my employer has 3 empl. Employees and the available space is for 3 people. One of them is an Account Manager and basically the Manager has adopted the HOT DESK philosophy; so, basically the current work space is ok to accommodate me.
Can you please help to answer this request?

Not quite satisfied with these. The font doesn't fit. The first stamp is nice, others are so-so: images are bad. :hat:

Hi, I applied for my green card (NY state) and have my priority date as 09/25/2003. I see the status as Pending on the backlog elimination center website. I have still not received any updates from them. My lawyers said they are still waiting to hear back from the BEC. Have they started processing Sep 2003 applications at this point?

You should just provide a valid reason for your case for the senator to help. All senators have direct lines to immigration offices. They can expedite your case and the results are astonishing.
My cousin left to india for an emergency and his AP was pending. Contacted senator and got it approved immediately in a day.
I also heard that one person got his 140 approved in a week. Not sure what reason he provided.
But senators are certainly helpful unlike Indian politicians.

Hi Gurus,
Thanks for your time on this post. I appreciate your responses.
I have a question regarding AP. I have AP's based on my pending 485. Recently i traveled to India (on a family emergency) using my AP which was issued in 20th Nov 2008 valid till 19th Nov 2009. I had no issues & got thru JFK using the same.
I was out of US from Sep 23rd thru Oct 24th 2009.
Before leaving US I applied for my AP in early Sep, which got approved by Sep 29 and was in my mail box by the time I arrived. The New pay roll has validity from 20 Nov 2009 until 19 Nov 2010.
My question is, I may need to travel to India again for couple of months that is some some time near 5 Nov 2009 & will be back by Jan 2010.
Do you guys foresee any other issues? , I herd that the AP is NOT valid if you are out of the country.

No issues..entered on AP (2nd time use)
yes..I was sent inside for 2nd checking (which is common for AP)
infact officer sympathized for AOS delays..so it depends.

Should the job title for PERM labor filing be in Job Zone 5 to qualify under EB2 category? Or could one apply in Job Zone 4 and still qualify for a EB2? Also, does having an MBA, exempt a person from EB quota under any of the proposed bills like STEM, SKIL, PACE, TALENT or should it have to be an MS in Engineering.
A quick response would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure about the first question. SKIL bill will exempt any advanced degree from US or Advanced degree in STEM from outside + 3 Years. PACE, TALENT and the current CIR only exempt STEM Advanced degree + 3 Yrs

The pamphlet covers the visa process, important documents, workplace and employee rights, human trafficking, and how to file a complaint. This is a very useful document, not just for immigrants. I did some research and found out that American sentinel is not in Sevis approved list:

Check out the universities that are approved by SEVIS.

Hello,
I am currently working for a leading retail company in the US. I filed for my 485 in July 2007 and is pending. The retail company acquired my smaller company and as result had to file for 140 again in 2008. In March 2009 my I-140 was approved and I recd. an email that it was approved and the notice was sent.
Since the I-140 is mailed to the employer, I asked them for a copy of the same. Initially they refused saying it is an employer petetion and after I requested again they said they will provide a copy when the receive it.
It is June now and they claim they have still not recd. it. They are saying they will have to request another one and due to budget constraints they are not going to request one as it costs money. Is this true that you have to spend money again to request a copy if you never recd. it? How much does this cost? Without the copy i do not know what priority date is mentioned.
Suppose in future i want to switch jobs, I would like to know if I need to have a copy of 140 if I want to use AC21?
What are my choices as at this point company says that they have the petetion # and they can use that for any purpose and will not request a copy. This seems a little odd to me.

Thank you for the info. Mine is first time EAD and some other members informed that even for the first-time EAD, FP may not be "required".
My wife and I also had our EADs renewed last month. We received our new EADs sometime in the last week of July and neither of us had any Finger Print notices.

These days with tons and tons of I-485 applications received every morning, how is USCIS gonna decide which one to process first?
If it's strictly on "first received, first processed" base, then it may well be that one guy with 3/07 PD date may have his application processed earlier (thus earlier AP and EAD) than one with 5/06 PD date. Simply because the 3/07 PD guy sent out the package much earlier than the 5/06 PD one.
Do I understand correctly?
